SMM 2024

September 3-6, 2024 | Hamburg, Germany

Hall A3 Booth: 210

Welcome to Accelleron's page for the upcoming maritime exhibition SMM 2024!

We are thrilled to announce our participation in this year’s exhibition where the world's leading maritime industry players converge to explore and collaborate.

For exactly a century, Accelleron has been an innovative leader in turbocharging. In 1924, the first commercial heavy-duty turbocharger was manufactured and delivered in Baden, Switzerland, to improve the efficiency of our customers’ engines. Our commitment to innovation has ensured that our technology remains just as relevant a century later. Today, we are proud to be the leading provider of turbochargers, fuel injectors, digital solutions, and services to industries that form the backbone of modern life, driving their journey towards decarbonization with the support of our technology, expertise, and smart solutions.

In 2024, we take a journey through time, embracing the present and envisioning the next 100 years: together, we are transforming the future with a heritage of innovation.

We are also excited to exhibit together with our recently acquired company, OMT. Founded more than 85 years ago, OMT has served engine builders with dependable, high-precision fuel injection equipment since the early days of large diesel engine development. Over the years, OMT has established long-term customer relationships as a reliable partner of engine builders, serving the global markets for marine propulsion, power generation, and rail traction. With extensive experience and comprehensive know-how in the field of injection systems for distillate and heavy fuels, OMT develops tailored solutions to help customers optimize their diesel, gas, and dual-fuel engines for the highest performance and lowest life-cycle costs.

Providing reliable power to the people of Cameroon

The energy industry is facing some big changes, with power generated from sustainable sources on the rise. In fact, by 2030, the International Energy Agency (IEA) predicts that renewable energy will contribute up to 50% of global energy – up from 30% today.¹ There is still a serious need for the grid resilience and stability to protect vital community infrastructure, and Globeleq’s Kribi power station in Cameroon is a great example of that.

“A planet worth living on,” Dominik Schneiter – Accelerating to Net Zero, Episode 3

Dominik Schneiter is CEO of WinGD, President of the CIMAC Congress, and President of the Swissmem Combustion Engine sector. In episode 3 of the Accelerating to Net Zero series, he explains why efficiency measures remain underimplemented in shipping, why newbuilds must be designed today with retrofits in mind for tomorrow’s fuels. why green premiums don’t flow all the way upstream in the value chain, and the need for cross-sector collaboration at a global level to create a planet worth living on.

Calling for a synchronized energy transition, Carsten Rolle – Accelerating to Net Zero, Episode 2

Dr. Carsten Rolle is Secretary General of the World Energy Council Germany and Director of Energy and Climate Policy at the Federation of German Industries. Watch episode 2 of the Accelerating to Net Zero series, as we speak with Dr. Rolle about the role of shipping in global energy flows, the need for early adopters of carbon-neutral fuels, and why courage, pragmatism, and synchronized action are essential to catalyzing hydrogen and carbon-neutral fuel development, and accelerating decarbonization to reach net zero.
