Job description

We are looking for a dedicated, motivated, and highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team in India. This role is crucial in driving the development and dynamic updating of models using voyage data, engine benchmarks, and marine engineering principles. The successful candidate will build adaptive, interpretable models that update from voyage related data while incorporating deep domain understanding from naval engineering principles. Additionally, the role involves addressing challenges in data visualization and predictive analysis to optimize vessel performance. Your responsibilities:

  • Develop advanced models using diverse data sources and analytical techniques to enhance our maritime products and services
  • Research and integrate fundamental marine engineering and naval architecture concepts into modeling approaches
  • Implement machine learning and neural network models into our digital solutions
  • Deliver production-grade, scalable solutions supporting next-level vessel performance optimization.
  • Support in data exploration and visualization efforts
  • Communicate technical insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the development team on UI, KPIs, or dashboard development

Your background:

  • 3 to 4 years of experience in data science/software development or equivalent from work experience
  • Proficiency in machine learning and/or neural network models.
  • Familiarity with marine engineering and naval architecture principles.
  • Experience with full-stack development is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills to convey technical insights to diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in data visualization techniques and data analytics tools.
  • Collaborative mindset to work effectively with development teams on UI and dashboard projects
